Charming guesthouse, welcoming hosts, offering a clean and well-maintained room with a flat-screen TV and a fully cooked breakfast that was freshly prepared and delicious.

The breakfast servings could have a bit more flexibility. The porridge was tasty but felt skimpy in that big bowl. Parking can be a weekend hassle, but there's a disc system that helps, although a basic area map would save you some trouble figuring out the layout, especially for those hitting the local trails and sights without a clue to navigate.

Hosts were exceptionally attentive, ensuring every need was met, including providing a parking pass and detailed directions for local walks. The breakfast offerings were outstanding, particularly the smoked salmon and omelettes, which kept us energized for our hiking adventures. The location was ideal, with a variety of dining options just a short walk away. it would have been nice to have more variety in the tea and coffee selections in the room.

I had a fantastic stay at Brantfell House in Ambleside. Adie and Mandy were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They provided detailed information about local attractions and activities. My room was spotless, comfortable, and cozy, with a fantastic shower and plenty of hot water. The breakfast choices were delightful, with fresh ingredients and ample portions. I appreciate the option for a packed lunch, which really helped during my hikes. The location is excellent, close to various restaurants and pubs, making it easy to explore Ambleside. the small room felt a bit cramped, especially for two, and parking on weekends can be a challenge. I loved the personal touches that made me feel at home. Definitely would return!

Had an awesome time! The place is super cozy and perfect for us hikers. Mandy cooked up the best breakfasts, with scrumptious eggs and good coffee. The room was comfy, and we even had a separate sitting area to chill. Just be ready for a workout with those stairs, but it was all part of the adventure!

Had a fantastic stay with my friends! We explored scenic walks starting right from the village and even had a chance to check out some amazing cafes nearby. The breakfast was exceptional, and the hosts were super welcoming and helpful. We appreciated the little touches, like the fans during a heatwave and the helpful parking suggestions.

One thing to note was that the small room we booked felt a bit cramped for our group, even though it was tidy.
